What makes wood-fired pizza different
Heat, mostly. A domestic oven tops out around 250°C and takes ten minutes to bake a pizza into submission. A wood-fired oven runs at 500°C and cooks a pizza in 90 seconds: the base blisters, the edges char and puff, the mozzarella melts without the toppings drying out. That speed is also why a single oven can feed a whole party. Watch one cook and you'll see why we've never wanted to do it any other way.
Our menu keeps it honest: classics like margherita and pepperoni, premium and vegetarian options, wood-fired garlic bread and a Nutella dessert pizza, with gluten free alternatives and vegan cheese available when you book ahead.
Who we are
The Pop Up Pizza Co is based in Cheltenham and cooks across the town and a 50-mile radius around it, from Montpellier gardens to Cotswold wedding venues, including Ellenborough Park. We hold a 5-star food hygiene rating, carry full public liability insurance, and our 40 Google reviews average 4.9. We'll let the reviews do the bragging.
“We booked Jacob for our 10-year wedding anniversary celebration, and he was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. He made the whole process so easy and took the stress out of organising. The pizzas were delicious and a huge hit with all our guests.”

How to get it, since we're not a takeaway
The honest trade-off of a mobile caterer: you can't order a Friday-night delivery from us, but you can have the whole oven and team in your garden. Cheltenham bookings run from private parties, through weddings to office lunches, with pricing that starts from £12 per head and smaller gatherings from £300. For hands-on groups of up to 30 there's also the DIY Pizza Experience, where you hire the oven and your guests do the firing.
The detail lives on our Cheltenham catering page and the pricing page, or see the gallery for what the char actually looks like.
