What should I ask any food truck or food van before I book?

Ask what the price includes, what they need from your venue, how many people they can feed an hour, and what paperwork they hold. Here is how we answer each one.

• ✶What does the price include? Ours covers travel within about 50 miles of Cheltenham, plates, napkins and sauces for every guest, and clearing up before we leave.
• ✶What do they need from my venue? We need a flat space of at least 3m by 4m, and we don't need mains power or water for the oven.
• ✶How many people an hour can they serve? We can serve up to 100 pizzas an hour.
• ✶Are they insured and food hygiene rated? We carry £5 million public liability insurance and hold a 5-star food hygiene rating, and risk assessments are available on request.
• ✶Can they cope with dietary needs? We offer vegetarian pizzas, vegan cheese on request and gluten-free alternative bases with notice (contains mustard). Everything is cooked in the same oven, so we can't guarantee zero cross-contamination, and we ask you to tell us about allergies when you book.
• ✶What happens if it rains? We cook under our own gazebo, so rain doesn't stop service.

How does an oven and gazebo set-up compare with a food truck or van?

It does the same job: we turn up, set up and cook fresh on site. The difference is that our oven always cooks outdoors under our own gazebo, so it needs flat ground and can't go indoors.

Your guests are welcome to collect their pizzas and eat them inside. Gardens, courtyards, car parks, fields and venue grounds are all fine, and if you are unsure about access or space, send us a photo and we'll confirm.

How much does it cost to hire a food truck for a party in Gloucestershire?

For our set-up it starts from £12 per head plus VAT, with a minimum booking of £400 plus VAT. That is based on about one 10-inch pizza per guest.

As a planning guide, all plus VAT: under 30 guests from £400, 30 to 50 guests from around £420, 50 to 100 from around £650, and 100 or more from around £1,200. The final figure depends on your numbers, distance, date and how long you'd like us to serve. For prime summer weekends, May to the end of August, the minimum may be higher depending on demand.

How many people can you feed, and how far ahead should I book?

We cater from 20 to 500 people, and for bigger numbers we bring a second oven so the queue keeps moving. For most events we suggest at least six weeks' notice, and summer weekends can book up months ahead.

Midweek dates are often easier to fit in, so if your date is sooner it is always worth asking. A 25% deposit secures your date in the diary. Send us your date, rough guest numbers, venue or postcode, timings and any dietary needs through the enquiry form, and we'll check the diary and come back with a quote, usually within a few hours.
